For the burger
2 burger buns
400 g ground beef (200 g each)
6 slices bacon
4 slices of cheddar
1 red onion
1 tomato
2 portions of mayonnaise
2 portions of barbecue sauce
4 leaves Lollo Bianco lettuce
20g butter
Salt pepper
Oil for frying
Preparation in 8 steps
Start by peeling the onion and cutting it into rings about 0.5 cm thick. Cut the tomato into slices about 0.5 cm thick. Wash the lettuce leaves and shake them dry.
The ground beef should be formed into two equal-sized balls and then pressed into thin burger patties using a burger press or a grill spatula. The patties should then be covered and refrigerated for a while.
Prepare the hob by heating it with a pan and a little oil, or set the gas grill with a reversible plate to direct high heat.
Add some oil and fry the onion rings for 2-3 minutes until evenly browned. Then set aside.
Fry or grill the bacon with the lid closed for about 4 minutes until crispy. Then set aside.
The patties should be fried or grilled with a little oil for a few minutes on each side. Place two slices of cheddar on each patty. They should then be heated in the indirect zone of the grill to the desired degree of doneness with the lid closed or under a burger cover for about 2 minutes.
Cut the burger buns open. Spread butter on both halves. Then toast them cut side down for about 30 seconds.
Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of the bun. Place Lollo Bianco, tomato, patty, bacon and finally onions on top. Spread barbecue sauce on the top half of the bun and finally place it on the burger.
