Candied Bacon Burger
The Candied Bacon Burger is a delicious combination of sweet and savory. This burger usually contains a juicy beef patty covered in a sweet and sticky candied bacon layer. This special bacon is caramelized by cooking it in brown sugar or maple syrup, giving it a sweet, crunchy texture. The burger can also be complemented with other ingredients such as cheese, tomatoes, onions and various sauces. The Candied Bacon Burger is a unique explosion of flavor that will delight both burger and bacon lovers.
Alternatively, you can prepare the bacon and burger patty in your home kitchen and oven instead of on the grill.
TIP:
For the grillers among us, place beef patties on the grill for 4-5 minutes per side. For indoor cooks, place the patty in a little oil in the pan for about 3 minutes per side.

Burger & assembly
150 g ground beef (80/20) per patty
Cheddar
Head / romaine lettuce
Tomato
Oil for frying
Aioli sauce
2 tbsp mayonnaise
A little squeezed lemon juice
1 garlic clove (pressed)
1 tsp parsley
Pinch of salt & black pepper
Preparation in 5 steps
First, place the candied bacon on the grill rack or on a rack in the oven. Sprinkle the bacon with a layer of brown sugar and season with black pepper. Heat the oven to about 230 degrees for 25 minutes.
While the bacon is in the oven, prepare the aioli sauce. Take mayonnaise, a little lemon juice, pressed garlic clove, some parsley and salt & pepper and mix everything together to make a nice aioli sauce.
Now heat the pan or a reversible grill plate with a little oil and fry the burger patties on both sides for a few minutes until they are done. Season one side with salt & pepper beforehand. After turning the side over, place the cheddar on the patty.
At the same time, brush the burger buns with a little warm butter and fry them in a pan or place them directly on the grill.
Now put the burger together. Spread the aioli sauce on the bottom, then place the lettuce, bacon and the finished burger patty on top. Then add more bacon and another layer of the delicious aioli sauce. Finally, finish with the top burger bun.
