Pulled Pork Burger
The pulled pork burger is a popular dish in American cuisine, especially in the southern United States. It consists of slow-cooked pork that is so tender that it can be pulled apart into fibers or "pulled." This meat is then often mixed with a barbecue sauce and served on a burger bun.
Preparing pulled pork is a lengthy process that often takes several hours. The meat is usually cooked at a low temperature in the oven or on the grill until it is so tender that it can be easily pulled apart. Most often, the meat is rubbed with a spice mixture before cooking to add extra flavor.
Likewise, the pulled pork burger is often served with various side dishes, including coleslaw (a cabbage salad), pickles, and French fries. Also with an extra portion of barbecue sauce for dipping.
Despite the long cooking process, the pulled pork burger is popular for its juicy, smoky, and sweet flavor combination.
